Speculation reached fever pitch last week (ends29Aug08) when Brown revealed he was looking for a new home - but he now insists the place will be a bachelor pad.
The Kiss Kiss singer states, "I'm 19! I barely want my friends to stay over more than three days."

Chris Brown Talks Music, Fashion and Rihanna
The show boasted performances by Chris Brown, Rihanna, One Republic, Duffy, Pussycat Dolls and Justin Timberlake, just to name a few.
Hollyscoop caught up with Chris Brown right before he was set to take the stage to perform his hit song "Forever" to find out what we can expect from his performance.
"It's going to be crazy, I can't wait," said Chris. "It's going to be incredible. There's going to be a lot of people. A lot of things going on. I'm going to be jumping around, having fun."
Brown added, "Music plays such an important role [in fashion] because it decides whose the 'it' or not. To be in fashion you have to be a trendsetter, to be in entertainment you have to be a trendsetter."
Chris' gal pal Rihanna was also set to take the stage for a special performance of "Just Stand Up" with Beyonce, Fergie, Mariah Carey, and Nicole Scherzinger.
We asked Chris if him and Rihanna are planning on tying the knot anytime soon to which he replied, "Nooooo!" Well that settles that!
The star-studded fashion and music spectacular officially kicked off New York Fashion week, with proceeds from the event going to 'Stand Up To Cancer.' The event will air Tuesday in a two-hour special on CBS but in the meanwhile, you can check out our exclusives interviews with the stars of the show below...

Rihanna And Chris Brown Go House Hunting
Star magazine is reporting that the couple have been looking for condos in the LA area because "She and Chris want to live together."
They reportedly recently checked out units at Beverly Hills' Sierra Tower, but haven't found anything they liked yet. Do you guys think that at 20 and 18, they're too young to be living together? Or are celebs exempt from normal dating rules?

Rihanna Going Broke
So where did all that mullah go? According to Williams, it was never there to begin with. Williams claims that Def Jam never really paid Rihanna, so she would use earnings from her concerts (about $30k a show) to fund her lifestyle and finance her other albums.
"I showed her all the paperwork and tried to explain to her the circumstances but she wouldn't listen. She called me all sorts of horrible names and stormed off."
Williams added that Rihanna has only made "a little bit above a million" and "all of it was spent on making her as big as she is now. It's not my fault that she only has 20,000 to her name."
Hmm...that sounds a little sketchy. How can someone as big as Rihanna only have $20k to her name? We're not pointing fingers or anything, but it sounds like firing Williams was the smartest thing Rihanna has done in years.

Rihanna And Chris Brown Engaged?
Rihanna and Chris Brown will barely even admit to be friends, let alone anything else. They don't seem to mind that the cameras have caught the two "canoodling" on several occasions, and Rihanna is even tight with Chris' mom!
But now rumors are swirling that the two might be engaged after Rihanna was photographed wearing a diamond on her ring finger. Well, it's not like they're going to tell the media! So it'll probably just continue to be a guessing game! They do make a great couple though!

Chris Brown Won't Talk About Rihanna
Note to reporters: Don't ask Chris Brown about Rihanna! Chris says he takes it really personal when people he doesn't know ask him about his relationship with Rihanna. Chris told a WENN reporter, "Nobody wants to focus on what's positive, they want to know about my personal life. Every interview I do, they're like, 'So, how are you and such and such doing?' And I'm like, I don't know you, why you all in my business? So that's my take on it personally." They've already been photographed a dozen times sucking face, so it's safe to assume they're officially together.
Rihanna tops 'Best Hair In
The top five was rounded off by Sacha Baron Cohen's baby mama, Aussie Isla Fisher. The top five style queens as per In Touch's 'Best Hair In Hollywood' list is:
Lil Wayne, Usher, Rihanna, and Lyfe Jennings Earn Extra Album ...
Who knew that labels could actually cash in on prisoners – a new demographic ! According to a recent Billboard story, record labels have picked up more than $5 million from federal, state and local prison systems since 2003. Although that figure may seem small, Bob Paris of North Hollywood-based Pack Central says "I have dodged every conventional bullet that has hit most music retailers," Paris says. "I don't have to worry about downloading, legal or illegally.” Paris’Pack Central, which runs a mail order operation for about 50,000 prisoners has been doing very well especially with the release of this year’s biggest albums including Lil Wayne’s “The Carter III,” Mariah Carey’s “E=MC2,” Lyfe Jennings “Life Change,” Rihanna’s “Good Girl Gone Bad” and Usher’s “Here I Stand,” which are all on the companies best sellers list. Cassettes account for about 60% of unit sales, since CDs are contraband in many prisons because the hard plastics can be used for nefarious means. The screws that hold many cassettes together are also verboten, so owner Bob Paris must manually remove them. Paris says he started stockpiling cassettes five years ago. "People thought I was nuts when I invested tons of money in analog prerecorded music on tape," he says. Pack Central sends out its catalog twice a year, with monthly mailers featuring new titles. Prisoners pay for product through money orders or checks drawn on a spendable trust account set up by their family members. Given the harsh business climate for music retailers, Paris is thrilled that his business has been flat for the last five years, with sales hitting more than $1 million annually, it stocks about 10,000 CDs and 5,000 cassette titles. According to the U.S. Department of Justice, more than 2.3 million people were locked up in federal, state or local systems at midyear 2007.
Rihanna to cover up?
Rihanna’s alleged flame Chris Brown has reportedly warned her against wearing revealing clothes, for he fears the singer’s sexy curves may end up attracting too many male fans. "Chris adores her, but he gets a little jealous when she is strutting her stuff. Her stage costumes are racy, and when she is not performing, she likes to dress to impress," the China Daily quoted a source as saying. Rihanna, however, is determined to continue showing off her fantastic figure, the source says. "She is sexy and likes to dress sexy," the source adds. The ''Umbrella'' star has not confirmed that she is dating Brown as yet. Even Brown said earlier this week that he was not prepared to talk about his alleged romance with Rihanna. "Nobody wants to focus on what''s positive, everybody just wants to know about my personal life. Every interview I do, it''s like, ''So, how are you and such and such doing?'' And I''m like, ''I don''t know you, why you all in my business?''" said the 19-year-old pop hunk, who has been spotted kissing the pop beauty on numerous occasions.

The Essence Music Festival at 14th Edition
According to The Associated Press, this was the 14th edition of the Essence Music Festival and it was held at the Superdome. Grammy Award-winner Mary J. Blige made her appearance Sunday and was welcomed by an enthusiastic crowd. She came to the Festival four years in a row.
“It's such a blessing,” said Blige before beginning her performance.
Another special guest was comedian Chris Rock who retuned there for the first time in 12 years.
After Rihanna set a peaceful rhythm with ballads like “Take a Bow,” Chris Brown came with his hip hop songs, beginning his “Shawty Get Loose.” On one of Essence's smaller stages was Grandmaster Flash demonstrating his famous turn-table technique, saying that “without DJ’s there would be no hip-hop,” reported USA Today.
Kanye West’s performance was once again impeccable and the set from the Apocalypse Now movie was very impressive. West performed songs like “Diamonds from Sierra Leone,” “Can’t Tell Me Nothin’” and “Gold Digger.
Patti Labelle proved her voice was still great while Nona Hendryx and Sarah Dash joined her when “Lady Marmalade” came up. The three singers which formed Labelle are set for a tour and their album comes in September.
The Essence Music Festival represents a celebration of black music and culture. In 2006, the festival moved to Huston because of the Katrina Hurricane but it returned to New Orleans.
Dizzee Rascal Eyes Rihanna For Collaboration

"My audience has got more diverse, which I love. I've even started seeing teenyboppers in the front rows." Says Dizzee. "Experimenting with dance music is a good way for British rappers to get on the radio and into the charts."

Rihanna Takes a Bow at the BET Awards
R&B style queen Rihanna sits next to her unofficial beau Chris Brown during the 2008 BET Awards held at the Shrine Auditorium on Tuesday in Los Angeles.
Rihanna arrived at the BET Awards in style, wearing an eye-catching Giambattista Valli dress.
Here are some more deets about Rihanna’s shoulder tattoo. It says “IV. LXXXVI”, which is the Roman numeral for 4.86, the date of birth of her best friend. Apparently this best friend of hers is “closer than people from her own family.”

Rihanna: Chris' Mom Approves!
Rihanna's got mom's seal of approval.
The hitmaking beauty made a trip to GBK Productions' Fire & Ice gifting lounge for the BET Awards over the weekend with her boyfriend, fellow music hotshot Chris Brown and his mom, Joyce Hawkins.
Hawkins, according to a source, was overheard cooing, "Rihanna is the sexiest and sweetest girl Chris has ever dated."
And for once, the superprivate lovebirds weren't so private during their hour-or-so-long visit to the lounge. "They came through holding hands and kissing each other on the neck," says the source.
Both Rihanna and Brown also took home their own $5,000 gold watches from Croton, Grace hats, handblown glass art from Robert Kaindl and iPod cases from Guilty Couture. Rihanna also grabbed three pairs of Australia Love Collective boots, including the Vixen, the Nomad and the Party Nomad and helped Brown pick out a couple of pairs of New Balance running shoes.
Sounds like a good day was had by all.

Brown and Rihanna Romance Still a Mystery
Just a day after Brown's mother cooed about the "Umbrella" singer at a pre-awards gift lounge event, the sexy Barbados-born star was still insisting she's single.
Speaking on the red carpet at the BET Awards, Rihanna said, "We aren't dating; we're very good friends."
But when Brown was asked if he and Rihanna were an item backstage, he playfully said, "Possibly, possibly!"
And his mom hopes the two really are dating -- she was overheard telling a friend, "She's the sexiest and sweetest girl Chris has ever dated."
The couple has become inseparable in recent weeks and rumors of a romance were sparked when the pair was spotted kissing and cuddling in a fast food restaurant last month.

Rihanna Goes Shopping with the Girls
The “Take a Bow” songstress was joined by a few gal pals as she enjoyed some time off from her usual promotional and performing duties (over the weekend she sang two songs for Pete Wentz’s FNMTV show). And she looked adorable in a black top with matching skirt and a pair of serious black leather boots.
Brown told press, “Our relationship is growing. We started off as friends and we’re getting a little bit closer now. My mom is real cool about it all. They both have light skin with green eyes, so.”

RIHANNA CAUGHT HER DAD SMOKING CRACK
BRIt AWARDS 2008 with MasterCard EXCLUSIVE: RIHANNA'S YEARS OF HELL
Superstar Rihanna's dad told last night of his shame after she caught him smoking crack cocaine when she was just nine years old.
Ronald Fenty revealed how the singer - who hopes to win best international female artist at Wednesday's glitzy Brits awards do in London - watched him indulge his lethal habit as she peered through a gap in the kitchen door.
Ronald revealed: "I turned and looked Rihanna in the eye and instantly came back down from the high I was on. I saw her run for her mother, ask her something and then they both started to cry. I had no idea she had been watching.
"It was the lowest point - life just stopped and I realised what a fool I had been."
The moment tore apart Ronald and Rihanna's lives. He was thrown out of the family home in Barbados and stopped from seeing his daughter. But Ronald, 54, managed to kick the drugs and now plays a full part in her life - even joining the 19-year-old sensation on tour. He has also done his best to warn her off drugs - though he's sure she wouldn't touch them anyway.
"I spent 25 years doing drugs so I know the devastation they cause," he said. "Last year I sat her down and said, 'Rihanna don't make the mistakes I did. Don't do drugs'.
"You see so many young people find fame then lose their heads. I begged her not to do a Britney Spears or Lindsay Lohan. She looked me in the eyes and said, 'Dad don't be stupid'. She won't go down the path I went down. She's too smart."
The worlds of Rihanna, who has a million-pound pad in Los Angeles, and Ronald, who lives in his aunt's modest home, could hardly be more different.
When the Sunday Mirror tracked down the father-of-five in Bridgetown, Barbados, he was hawking tacky toys, perfume and household items from the boot of a battered Nissan car.
But he's used to a life on the streets. Growing up, Ronald was scoring crack cocaine and cannabis at only 14. He took drugs through high school, where he met Rihanna's mother Monica.
Despite a relationship littered with rows - mainly over his drug-taking - the pair married in 1985. But after Rihanna, their first child, was born in 1988 Ronald would disappear on cocaine binges for days on end. Monica was often left alone to cope with Rihanna and younger brothers Rorrey and Rajad.
Ronald said: "I was out of control. I would let my wife and my children down time and time again. I was not a good dad or husband."
Yet amid the chaos Rihanna, nicknamed Pinky because she loved pink clothes, was blossoming into a singer. Aged three she would stand in front of the mirror, hairbrush in hand, singing along to Whitney Houston's Saving All My Love For You.
At seven she was displaying the incredible voice which today sells millions of records and could earn her the best female artist award at the Brits. Ronald remembers her singing A Whole New World from Disney's Aladdin. "I was in the lounge and heard this angelic singing from the balcony," he said. "I looked out and it was Rihanna. My heart jumped. I knew then she was special."
But two years on Rihanna saw her father smoking crack. Ronald said: "It was the turning point. Monica chucked me out and we never patched things up. I knew I could carrying on taking drugs and die or stop and see my children grow up. I still thank God every day I chose to stop - I live for my children now."
And, despite his daughter's millions, he never asks for a penny and insists he's happy in his work, which earns him around £250 for a seven-day week. He said: "The only thing I want is to be a part of her life. I have had her forgiveness, which you can't put a price on, and I would never dream of asking her for a dollar."
Rihanna, who won a Grammy in Los Angeles last week for Umbrella, will be hoping for more of the same at the Brits, where she will perform the smash hit with The Klaxons.
And Ronald will be watching with pride on satellite TV. "I would have loved to have gone to London but, unless Rihanna calls and says, 'Hey dad, jump on a plane', then I will be watching on TV with a bottle of beer," he said.

Rihanna and Chris Get Shady
Want more evidence of a potentially budding romance between Rihanna and Chris Brown?
I heard the two were doing a little swagging together at the Grammys. A fellow swagger told me they hit the official awards gifting suite to find some new sunglasses.
The two music superstars arrived together but were careful about not leaving any photographic evidence behind. They declined having their pictures taken.
Even so, Rihanna walked away with a fierce pair of Balenciaga shades while her 18-year-old maybe-boyfriend took home two pairs of oversize Marc Jacobs glasses in red and blue.
My spy also informed me that at one point “Chris was telling her they needed to go, and in seconds they were gone.”

Rihanna Tops "Sexy Cut" List
Ever wonder why Hollywood stars change their hair color and make drastic cuts? Sexy Rihanna tops the "cut and color" list from In Touch Weekly as the Hollywood star that has made the most of a drastic switch to create a wild buzz. When she first appeared on the scene, Rihanna’s long, flowy and wavy hair fit right in with her girl-next-door image. But when the 20-year-old Barbados native wanted to unleash her edgier side, she ignored her record label’s wishes and headed to the salon for a big change.

"My image was boring — very innocent and girlie,” she explains. “I was tired of being pushed around, so I cut my hair. I didn’t ask anybody, I just did it. I have a lot of attitude now and I’m not afraid to let it out!” Following the debut of her now infamous jet-black bob in March, the singer recently stepped out with an even shorter ’do.
“She’s always looking for a change,” her stylist, Ursula Stephen, tells In Touch. “We looked at some pictures for inspiration and she was just like, ‘Okay let’s do it! Let’s cut it!’” As for Rihanna’s ever-evolving style, Ursula says: “She’s coming into her own. She’s becoming her own woman.”

Rihanna Celebrates with Chris Brown
Friends threw Rihanna a surprise birthday party last night, but it seems the singer's been keeping a secret of her own: her romance with R&B crooner Chris Brown. The Grammy-winning girl showed up at the bash—held in a private room at Les Deux—hand in hand with her man. It's a hookup made in hip-hop heaven!
"Rihanna looked so happy and excited to be there," says one partygoer. When the birthday babe, in a lacy, cream-colored tube top and a pencil skirt, hit the ladies' room, Chris busted out some of his signature moves. The talented dude even had a dance-off with another guest.
At 1:45 a.m., the deejay played Rihanna's megahit "Umbrella" in her honor. Now that we know she's spending QT with Chris, is it too soon to ask when another duet is coming? Fingers crossed!

Rihanna celebrated her 20th birthday at Les Deux in Hollywood, with Kanye West, actor Wilmer Valderrama and her maybe-boyfriend Chris Brown. The party included a cupcake fight and a special a capella version of "Happy Birthday" sung by Brown.
Rihanna and Brown are currently denying a relationship, but a party guest says the two were cuddling and acting "very cozy all night." Below is a photo of the two from a post-Grammy party.

Rihanna takes gym-going very seriously
You know the difference between us and celebrities? They go to the gym a lot more.
In fact, they spend so much time in the gym, they don't even bother changing into normal outfits when they pop out to the supermarket. Or "grocery store", as our American cousins would call it.
And here's a case in point: Rihanna, snapped this weekend going to a grocery store and yet clearly dressed for the gym.
Although maybe she's just read all that stuff in magazines that tell us that you can work off 300 calories an hour doing the shopping, and so on? And got dressed accordingly. Now if only we'd caught her doing squat thrusts down Aisle Five....
